Moonday Morning: China goes crazy over blockchain

The New York State Department of Financial Services has asked cryptocurrency exchange Bittrex to postpone closing its accounts in New York until further notice, The Block reports.

This means that the exchanges New York-basedcustomers can continue to withdraw funds, but may not be able to deposit or trade cryptocurrency.

And finally, the World Economic Forum has partnered with several leading mining and metal companies to run a blockchain project in a bid to boost responsible sourcing and sustainability practices.

Another weekend in the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain: a bit of legal action, Bitcoin price chatter, a LOT of excitement in China, and a relatively interesting blockchain project.
