Facebook takes dig at Apple over its App Store developer fees

Add Facebook to the list of companies taking a swipe at Apple over the fees it charges developers on its App Store after a ban of the hit video game Fortnite.

Facebook noted small businesses who use Facebook Pay for transactions will get to keep 100% of the revenue generated from online events.

The dig at Apple follows a ban of the popular video game Fortnite by the tech giant and Google from their respective app stores over the introduction of a direct payment system.

The system would allow players to make purchases within Fortnite directly through publisher Epic Games, bypassing the fees Apple and Google would charge for an in-app purchase.

Epic responded by filing complaints against both Apple and Google, accusing both of running their app stores as monopolies.
